This policy explains how Barry Lam, a licensed insurance agent affiliated with Americhoice Financial Group ("we," "us"), collects, uses and shares information through this website and our related text-message and email communications.
Information we collect
- Information you give us in our quote request form: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, date of birth, the coverage amount and monthly range you're considering, when you'd like coverage, whether you use tobacco or nicotine, and your text-message consent choices.
- Information collected automatically when you visit: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, the ad or link that brought you here, and similar data collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API.
- Information from our conversations with you, such as notes about your needs and appointment details.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, contact you by phone, text or email, and help you compare insurance options.
- To prioritize follow-up. We use an automated tool to estimate how soon you'd like help, based only on the coverage, budget and timing answers you provide. It does not make insurance, eligibility or pricing decisions.
- To schedule and remind you of appointments.
- To measure and improve our advertising and website.
- To keep records required by law and insurance regulations.
Text messaging (SMS) opt-in
Our quote request form includes two optional checkboxes, both unchecked by default. If you check the first, you agree to receive text messages from Barry Lam, a licensed agent with Americhoice Financial Group, at the mobile number you provide about your quote request, appointments and reminders. If you separately check the second, you also agree to receive marketing text messages about life insurance options. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase, and you can submit the form without checking either box.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out; you'll receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact (626) 231-9593 or [email protected].
We use your mobile number and SMS consent only to send the messages you agreed to. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who operate our systems on our behalf and may use it only to provide those services: our customer relationship management platform (HighLevel), our automation platform (Make), our email provider (Microsoft), and an AI service (OpenAI) that receives only your coverage, budget and timing answers — not your name or contact details.
- Advertising and analytics: Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) receives information through the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure and improve our ads and to find people who may be interested in them. This can include pages viewed, the ad you clicked, IP address, browser and device information, Meta cookie identifiers, and, when you submit our form, a lead event with hashed (encoded) contact identifiers such as your email address and first name. We do not send Meta your health, tobacco, date-of-birth, coverage or budget answers. Meta's use of this information is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
- Insurance companies, when you choose to apply for coverage, so they can process your application.
- Americhoice Financial Group, the agency we are affiliated with, for supervision and compliance.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights or others' safety.
Text messages: Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are not shared with any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP to any message to opt out; reply HELP for help.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Calls: tell us at any time that you don't want to be called.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
- Access, correction or deletion: email [email protected]. We'll respond as required by applicable law, including California's Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act.
Security and retention: We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law and insurance recordkeeping rules.
Children: This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes: We'll post any changes on this page with a new effective date.
